Adding Images/Pictures

In the current configuration, there are two (2) methods for adding images/pictures:

1. Top Right, One per Page: If you wish to add one image per page at the top right where the third column would ordinarily exist, then in the Edit mode for the current page or blog (only these have been enabled at this point, though other content types could be enabled), scroll down to the "Attached Images" entry, expand it, and then either select and/or upload the image that you wish to attach. When you update/save the page, everything is handled automatically.

2. Any Number of Images, Anywhere on the Page: On every page, blog, ... there is special plus-camera icon under the text entry/edit area. If you click on that field, a special pop-up window is presented where you can upload and/or select one or more images to be placed within the current text entry. When you exit, a special "image tag" will be placed within the text area where you left the cursor in the field, and the image will be drawn at that place at the size specified. You can move this tag around within your text to get the effect you want. NOTE: If you want to change a previously entered and placed picture, you will need to delete the previously placed "image tag" from the current text body. If you forget, then both instances of the picture will be shown.

Uploading a New Image (method #2): In the pop-up window, all of the previously uploaded images in your storage area ("My Images") will be shown. To upload a new image and add it to your storage area, press the "Upload" button at the top of the window. When you do so, a new window is presented where you must provide a title for the picture, and select an image file on your system by clicking on the "Choose File" button. navigate around your system to find the desired picture, select the file and click choose. The image file selection will be closed. Ignore everything else in the pop-up window and click "Submit" at the bottom of the window. The image file will be uploaded and placed in your image storage area. Proceed the next set of instructions to place the newly uploaded image into your page.

Selecting an Existing Image (method #2): In the pop-up window, all of the previously uploaded images in your storage area ("My Images") are shown. If use one of these images, simply select an image by clicking on it, and a 2nd pop-up window will appear. This new window will contain the image and a number of other entry fields that control how the image is sized and positioned in the text area where you had your cursor positioned. The fields to set are the title (clear it if you don't want a picture title beneath the picture), the size (you can change this AFTER you have placed the image by directly editing the image tag), the alignment (how its positioned within the text area) and whether the image should have a link (i.e., if someone clicks on it, what page is now displayed). Don't change the insert mode. When satisfied, click "insert" and you will be returned to the text area that you'd been editing, but with the new image tag field now placed in it.

To view the newly placed image, simply "Preview" the page by click on the button at the bottom of the page, and the image will now be drawn in the page. You can move it around by cutting and pasting the entire image tag within the text body. To absolutely control the image positioning, additional HTML code will need to be added (e.g., TABLEs).

Finally, the preferred method for adding images is #2. If there are any problems and/or suggestions on how to add images and/or make this description clearer, please let me know.
